John Allen Bussey Obituary

John Allen Bussey, 50, of London, died Thursday, Aug, 4, 1994 at 6:52 a.m. in Madison County Hospital.

Born May 4, 1944 in Madison County, he was a son of Walter Edgar and Lois (McClaskie) Bussey.

He was a very active member of the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union where he was the second Elder. He was an officer with the Columbus Police Department for 24 years spending the last three years as a motorcycle officer. A veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War.

Survived by mother of London; wife, Beachie (Howard) Bussey; daughter and son-in-law, Trisha and Damon Reece of London; sister and brother-in-law, Rose Marilyn and Ronald Schellhaas of Galloway; brother and sister-in-law, James Everett and Sandra Bussey of London; grandchildren, Kayla and Morgan Reece; sisters and brothers-in-law, David and Barbara Deck of London, Tracy and Doug Daniels of Raymond, Robert Howard of Plain City; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Jeanette Howard of Plain City; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by father on March 11, 1994; uncle Herb Bussey.

Friends may call at the RADER-LYNCH AND DODDS FUNERAL HOME, London, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Saturday.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday in the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Mark Barth officiating. Mr. Bussey will lie in state one hour prior to service. Internment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union.
