THE WEEK'S RECORD
Of the Grim Reaper who Harvests at All Seasons.
SELF
After a protracted illness of more than six weeks Joseph Self, the well known brick mason, breathed his last at five minutes after 10 o'clock last night at his home on Oak street. The cause of death was an attack of typhoid fever complicated with other ailments. The deceased was known as Joseph Self, though his real name was Brown. Joe has grown up in our midst and his pleasant ways and social disposition made friends of all who knew him. He would have been 39 years of age had he lived until the approaching November.
The deceased was united in marriage with Lettie Davisson in October, 1879, and five children were born to them — two sons and two daughters surviving. The afflicted family have the sympathy of the this entire community.
